1. Uninstall Salad
Uninstall Salad and all of its associated files and folders
2. Restart your computer
This will finalize the uninstallation of Salad, as it does with most programs that require drivers to run.
3. Reinstall Salad
Navigate in your internet browser to www.salad.io and re-download the installation .exe, and when the installation finishes, be sure to uncheck the “Run Salad” checkbox.
4. Open Zillya
This will be the main screen you are presented within Zillya, and is your base of virus-fighting operations.
5. Adding an Exclusion
To access the exclusion settings of Zillya, press the three little lines situated on the top-left-corner of the main screen. From there, select ‘Exclusions’ from the drop-down list under the tools area.
6. Click on 'Add Files'
After you have navigated to your exclusion settings, you will be presented with your AVs exclusion list. From there, Select ‘Add files’.
7. Adding Salad as an Exclusion
After clicking on ‘Add file’, you’ll want to navigate to the Salad installation folder and select it, the default installation path is “C:\Users\YourUserHere\appdata\roaming\salad” and click ‘Add File’
8. Click 'Add File'
Once you’ve found your Salad installation and clicked it, hit ‘Add File’, and it will bring you back to the main Zillya Exclusion whitelist page with your newly added exclusions
11. Run Salad
Let Salad run for at least 30 minutes after setting up the whitelist. Contact support if this issue persists.
