1. Uninstall Salad
Uninstall Salad and all of its associated files and folders
2. Restart your computer
This will finalize the uninstallation of Salad, as it does with most programs that require drivers to run.
3. Reinstall Salad
Navigate in your internet browser to www.salad.io and re-download the installation .exe, and when the installation finishes, be sure to uncheck the “Run Salad” checkbox.
4. Open Twister
This will be the main screen you are presented within Twister and is your base of virus-fighting operations.
5. Navigate to Tools
After you have opened Twister, click on ‘TOOLS’ situated on the bottom of the main screen.
6. Click an Exclusion
After you have navigated to ‘TOOLS’, click on ‘Scan Trustlist’ to add an exclusion in Twister.
7. Adding Salad as an Exception
After you have clicked on ‘Scan Trustlist’, a new window will appear. In that window, you’ll want to navigate to the Salad installation folder to the dialogue box beside ‘Add’. The default installation path is “C:\Users\YourUserHere\AppData\Roaming\Salad” and click ‘Add’.
8. Cick 'Ok'
Once you’ve found your Salad installation folder and click on ‘Add’ and hit ‘Ok again on the bottom left corner of the screen, and it will bring you back to the main Twister exclusion page with your newly added exclusion.
9. Run Salad
Let Salad run for at least 30 minutes after setting up the whitelist. Contact support if this issue persists.
