1. Uninstall Salad
Uninstall Salad and all of its associated files and folders
2. Restart your computer
This will finalize the uninstallation of Salad, as it does with most programs that require drivers to run.
3. Reinstall Salad
Navigate in your internet browser to www.salad.io and re-download the installation .exe, and when the installation finishes, be sure to uncheck the “Run Salad” checkbox.
4. Open PCMatic
As the PCMatic AV doesn’t really have an app interface, you will need to access it from their website. Go to their website https://www.pcmatic.com/pro/default.asp, login to your account and this is what you will see.
5. Find the Exclusion Setting
After you have made it to your AV’s dashboard, click on ‘Options’ situated on the left from the middle and a drop-down list will appear. From that list, click on ‘Manage Whitelists’.
6. Adding an Exclusion
After you have clicked on ‘Manage Whitelists’ your exclusion settings will appear alongside different tabs. From those tabs, click on ‘Supershield Allow’.
7. Adding Salad as an Exception
Once you have navigated to ‘Supershield Allow’, it is time to add Salad as a whitelist. Make sure you have set ‘Type’ as ‘File Path’. And on the dialogue box under ‘File Path’, you’ll want to navigate the Salad installation folder in it, the default installation path is “C:\Users\YourUserHere\AppData\Roaming\Salad” and click ‘Add’.
8. Run Salad
Let Salad run for at least 30 minutes after setting up the whitelist. Contact support if this issue persists.
