How to Whitelist Salad in ESET-NOD32

1. Open ESET-NOD32

This will be the main screen you are presented within ESET-NODE32, and is your base of virus-fighting operations.

2. Navigate to Settings

To navigate to ESET-NODE32 antivirus settings, select the ‘Setup’ option situated on the bottom-left of the main screen just under ‘Tools’.

3. Click on 'Computer protection'

After you have clicked on ‘Setup’ you will be presented with your antivirus protection settings. From there, select ‘Computer protection’ as pictured below

4. Adding an Exclusion

After clicking on the ‘Computer protection’ option, you will be presented with your protection related settings within your computer. From there, click on the little gear button situated on the same line as ‘Real-time file system protection’ and select ‘Edit Exclusion’ from the drop-down list.

5. Click on 'Add'

After you have clicked on ‘Edit exclusions’ you will be presented with a list of your exclusions. From there, select ‘Add’ as pictured below

6. Adding Salad as an exception

After you have clicked on ‘Add’, you will be presented with a new window. At first, make sure that you have set ‘Type’ as ‘Exclude path’. And on the ‘Path’ box, you’ll want to navigate to the Salad miner folder and select it, the default path for this is “C:\ProgramData\Salad\workloads” and click ‘Ok’.

7. Click 'Save'

Once you’ve found your Salad installation folder along with your ethminer folder and clicked it, hit ‘Save’, and it will bring you back to the main ESET-NODE32 Exclusion whitelist page with your newly added exclusions

8. Run Salad

Open your Salad widget and click the play button. Contact support here if this issue persists
